We used paint to paint three blobs, then we squashed our paper in half. When it was dry we added legs, wings, antennae and eyes.

I Am Learning to Work With Numbers up to 20

We are learning to count and write numbers up to 20. 

"It is easy. It is easy to count up to 20. I can write the numbers too. I check with the numbers on the wall to get them round the right way."

I am Learning to Match Some Basic Sight Words

We read the story “Mrs McGuire’s Muffins” on Sunshine-on-line. Then we had to find and match the words that were the same. I found  a picture  of a space ship.

"It was easy for me. I am good at finding and matching the words."

I Am Learning to Write About an Experience

Room two made a big pile of autumn leaves and then we took turns and jumped in them. When we got back to class we wrote about what we had done. Then we did some artwork about the leaves.

I Am Learning to Write About My Experiences

We made sandwiches using the lettuce we had grown. We are learning to write about making our sandwiches.

"I found the words I needed in our big modelling  book. I use my yellow alphabet card too."

Colourful Clowns

First we sketched the clowns in our sketch books. Then Mrs Grainger enlarged them on the photocopier. We coloured them carefully with pastels. We think they look amazing!

I am Learning My Letter Sounds

We use the phonics games on the ipads at Reading to time help use learn our letter sounds. We have to match the sounds. I am getting good at beginning sounds.

Swimming

In Room 2 we are learning to get into the pool safely and to float using a noodle.
